Discover the Market Kitchen
There’s a new place in Gasoline Alley to enjoy delicious local food and beverages. Located in the north end of the market, the Market Kitchen features locally-owned restaurants, a bakery, a coffee shop and Craft Beer Commonwealth.
Get your groceries, then grab a bite
Kick back, relax and grab a local brew or a bite to eat in the Market Kitchen inside Gasoline Alley Farmers’ Market. With six unique, locally-owned restaurants in one place, there are food options for the whole family – even the fussy ones! We have tables on the main market floor and seating upstairs on the mezzanine. When the main market is closed, you can access the Market Kitchen through the glass doors at the north end of the building.
MARKET KITCHEN OPENING HOURS:
Thursday: 11am-8pm
Friday: 9am-8pm
Saturday: 9am-8pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm
Home of Craft Beer Commonwealth
Brewery and taproom Craft Beer Commonwealth is located in the Market Kitchen. Celebrating all things Alberta, they are focused on showcasing and collaborating with other Central Alberta breweries, malt growers and hop growers. You can’t get more local than that. You might even see the brewing in action while you sip on your beer!
Rent the Space for your Events
Nestled upstairs in the Market Kitchen is a space that is located away from the hustle and bustle of the market and available to rent for private events. We’ve hosted many birthday parties, corporate events and Christmas parties – and you could join us too. For more information on how to book this space, head on over to the Craft Beer Commonwealth event booking site.
Our Restaurants
There are six restaurants located in the Market Kitchen, each with a diverse and unique menu. You’ll find Kai’s Lechon Haus and their mouth-watering roasted pork belly and other Filipino cuisine. Longhorn Eatery is serving up delicious burgers, salads and wings. You may know them from the food truck, and we are the home of Taco Monster’s first physical location where they’re serving their signature tacos, as well as tots and lemonade. The Wooden Shoe (originally from Gull Lake) has croquettes, tosties and Irish fries on the menu as well as all your Dutch favourites! In September 2024 we welcomed Memphis Blues BBQ and Chef 2 Tables Unique to the Market Kitchen.
Birdy Coffee is serving their artisan coffee at Craft Beer Commonwealth. And in fact, they are roasting their coffee beans on site.
Patio Season at the Market
Is there anything better than sitting out on a patio sipping on a cold brew?
Situated on the west side of the market, our patio gets all of the afternoon and evening sun. We have a roof and heaters, so you can sit outside event when the weather isn’t cooperating! It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a beverage and bite to eat.
Our patio is open during late spring, sum
