Located in the north end of the market, the Market Kitchen features five restaurants, a bakery, artisan coffee and Craft Beer Commonwealth.
Get your groceries, then grab a bite
Kick back, relax and grab a local brew or a bite to eat in the Market Kitchen at Gasoline Alley Farmers’ Market. We have tables on the main market floor and seating upstairs in the cozy Craft Beer Commonwealth taproom. When the main market is closed, you can access the Market Kitchen through the glass doors at the north end of the building.

Home of Craft Beer Commonwealth
Red Deer’s newest brewery and taproom Craft Beer Commonwealth is located in the Market Kitchen. Celebrating all things Alberta, they are focused on showcasing and collaborating with other Central Alberta breweries, malt growers and hop growers. You can’t get more local than that! You might even see the brewing in action while you sip on your beer!
Our Restaurants
There are five restaurants located in the Market Kitchen. The original Longhorn restaurant is based in Ponoka, and their new market restaurant is serving up delicious burgers, salads and wings. You may know them from the food truck, now Taco Monster have launched their first physical location with their signature tacos, as well as tots and lemonade. The (originally from Gull Lake) have croquettes, tosties and Irish fries on the menu as well as all your Dutch favourites! is the latest addition to the Market Kitchen! They will continue their very popular menu with the addition of Indian street food.
is serving their artisan coffee at Craft Beer Commonwealth. And in fact, they are roasting their coffee beans on site.
You will also be able to find the Organic Ancient Grain Bakery by Dovganyuk in the Market Kitchen on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They were a popular vendor in the main market, and they are making and baking on site from their new kitchen!
Our patio is closed for the season
Situated on the west side of the market, our patio gets all of the afternoon and evening sun. We have a roof and heaters, so you can sit out whatever the weather! It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a beverage and bite to eat.
